This is the first letter you have received from the editorial board of The Vietnamese Magazine. While we have not told you this before, we are very grateful for your readership and support for this publication, which primarily writes about human rights and the political context of Vietnam. We thank you for being our readers, but more than that, for your solidarity with our aspirations for democracy in Vietnam.
We want to report an achievement that we at The Vietnamese Magazine feel proud of. We are happy to announce that the U.S. Library of Congress has selected our website for inclusion in its web archives. Without your support and solidarity, the last five years would not have been easy, and we hope this accomplishment will strengthen our relationship with you.
We did not publish the news briefing last week and this week because we are taking some time off to celebrate the Lunar New Year - our Tet in Vietnamese. With this auspicious celebration of the Year of the Cat, we wish you all health, prosperity and happiness in your every endeavor.
We again thank you for being our readers. This year, we look forward to bringing you more stories - including some in new formats, such as video clips and podcasts. Please stay tuned for our new reports.
